FULTON, MS – The Itawamba Community College football team slipped to No. 20 in this week's National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) poll after their controversial 14-12 loss to unranked Holmes Community College.
Iowa Western Community College took over the new No. 1 spot after Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (3-1, 1-1 MACJC South) loss to new No. 18 Jones County Junior College (3-1, 1-1 MACJC South) on Saturday. Northwest Mississippi Community College (3-0, 2-0 MACJC North) jumped two spots to No. 4 while East Mississippi Community College (4-0, 1-0 MACJC North) slipped a spot as the No. 5 team in the nation. The Indians (3-1, 1-1 MACJC North) and No. 4 Northwest will square off Thursday night at 6:30 in Senatobia.
