Mississippi State defensive back Darius Slay returned an interception 52 yards for a touchdown, recorded a tackle and blocked a punt in the Bulldogs' 56-9 win over Jackson State University.

Ryan Thompson started at defensive back and had a tackle in the Indiana Hoosiers' 24-17 win over Indiana State while fellow Pontotoc natives Justin Moss and Rickey Nelson started on the offensive line in Arkansas Tech's 16-14 win over Bacone College.

Defensive back Tevin Blanchard had two assists in Florida International's 46-26 loss to Duke.

Cedric Quinn, Darren Daniel and Alabama State lost to Bethune-Cookman 38-28.

Canden Dallas and Arkansas Monticello defeated College of Faith 78-0.
