FULTON, MS – ICC head baseball coach Rick Collier announced the 2013 Fall Baseball Schedule for the Indians on Monday.
"We've had a pretty good start to the fall season," said Collier. "Right now we are working on getting the guys use to playing on the college level and realizing what it takes to be competitive on this level."
The Indians will restart intrasquad play after the MACJC Sophomore Showcase at Hinds Community College (Sept 14) with a trio of games before heading to FedExPark formerly known as Nat Buring Stadium at the University of Memphis for a doubleheader against Dyersburg State (Sept 26).
"Last year we went to Mississippi State and it was a really good experience for the guys to play some good competition at a place as legendary as Dudy Noble Field," Collier said. "This year, going to the University of Memphis will give these young guys a taste of what a collegiate road game is like against an always tough Dyersburg team."
Collier and the Indians will play their 5-game Red and Blue Series from September 29 to October 4 before closing the fall season with a pair of games at Smith-Wills Stadium against Boosier Parrish Community College (Oct 8) and Jones County Junior College (Oct 12).
"The guys really get after it during the Red and Blue Series," Collier commented. "Hopefully that will get them fired up for the final two games of the fall season and make them hungry to keep getting better before the start of the regular season."

Last season, the Indians finish 23-23 and earned their 11th-straight trip to playoffs under Coach Collier.
